Best File Format (Strongly Recommended)

For most customers, PNG files at 300 DPI deliver the best results.

Why PNG at 300 DPI is ideal:

• Preserves sharp detail

• Supports transparent backgrounds

• Avoids compression artifacts

• Works perfectly with die-cut and clear stickers

If you’re unsure what format to use, PNG at 300 DPI is the safest and best choice.

Other Accepted File Formats (Also Supported)

Sticker Swan also accepts:

• PDF (print-ready preferred)

• SVG (vector-based artwork)

• AI (Adobe Illustrator)

• EPS (vector formats)

These formats work well, especially for logos and vector designs. However, for most users, PNG at 300 DPI remains the easiest and most reliable option.

Resolution Requirements

Minimum Resolution

• 300 DPI at final print size is strongly recommended

Lower-resolution files may appear blurry or pixelated when printed. Increasing DPI after the fact does not improve quality.

If your artwork looks slightly blurry on screen, it will look worse in print.

Backgrounds & Transparency

• Transparent backgrounds are supported

• PNG files handle transparency best

• For clear stickers, transparency and white ink placement are previewed in your proof

Avoid flattening designs onto white backgrounds unless intentional.

Bleed & Safe Area (Very Important)

To ensure clean cutting:

• Extend artwork slightly past the cut line (bleed)

• Keep important elements away from edges (safe area)
